Peter wrote that in "General posting guidelines" thread (where it doesn't belong), I'm just moving it over here:

Quote:

I would like to the Hungarian language in the game.
The main reason is that, I'm Hungarian, and the second is:
There are a lot of Hungarian people who plays with online football manager games. (for example Hattrick... we are 10K there) If you think it is a good idea, I will be glad to be your service.

crap, I replied to it yesterday... didn't I click on "submit"?

anyways, it's a long run before we'll have most of documents stable enough not to waste translator's time over and over. we'll wait with new languages for at least couple months after releasing beta.

however, we'll need some help with first names and surnames. I'll write a post about it as soon as I'll make a tool that handles these things.

Well...I'm from England. Erm....I'm guessing you already know a lot of English surnames and first names, but if you do need any assistance feel free to ask.

Heil...
I've finished teh 90% percent of the names, but there ar more names wich are very infrequent, but i think the database of the names wich i uploaded is big enough to be the basic name set.

Otherwise, i've got an idea, maybe you think on it before:
If somebody register himself/herself on the site, you store his/her surname, and firstname, then add to the database.
To decide how frequent is the name wich is just added see this for examlple: 10 hungarian users are registered, 2 of them are 'Kovács' (surname), so with an easy count: 20% of the users are 'Kovács', so the frequent level is '1'.
With this method you can build a dinamically developing database.

Tomek had that idea long time ago. He did implement it and I didn't know about it... but I found that out right after I registered few accounts for testing purposes... some time later I noticed that quite a few players are named "dupa" ("Ass" in English) (apparently it's my favorite word, I use it frequently whenever I need to input something irrelevant).

The same would happen in the real game. I have few friends that are game masters in a big game in this genre... they told me most of the people are submitting stupid (or "funny", as they're probably thinking) data.
