yo:)
well i like the idea of training but i'm a litlle bit worried if it wouldn't be too complecated. at least there should be some way for not timeusing play (f.eg for those who play just for community).

>On the other hand, we don't want teams that have 40 players just because it's profitable.

i have an idea here. there would be some kind of team morale/spirit which would depend on number of players that are not plaing in games. atmosphere in team would be bad if there would be many of them and some of them could injure other players on training games.

1. there will be an "auto pilot" for those people that don't want to take care of training themselves.

2. every player will have a morale on his own. it will drop when a given player doesn't play often enough... but this idea about them hurting other players is a bit extreme :)

yep. aggression grows up when you participate in too big group. as sociology says ;) 11 is the last amount before huge group without personal (emotional?) relationships betwen every member.
maybe we should use the easiest way: simply the training is less effective if done in the team of 40 players. it would be even good real life simulation - you learn less when have 30-40 students except you.

Training gets less and less effective per each individual once you get past some number of trainees within certain group. For example (don't take these numbers seriously, I'm a notorious liar when it comes to revealing deep mechanism details :D ) once 7th player enters a group, every player within that group gets 90% of what he would get if that group was smaller.

hmmm maybe it would be more interesting if every little playere more in training group would made training a little bit less efectiv....

then there would be new decision... i have a hot prospect player so i give him an individual assistent to train him to the world class star player, or i train all my dudes as most of coaches.

Kostor...

OK, but the modest clubs can develop their players more effective than the new ones... the new clubs can't let themselfs to pay 77 assistants... this is a good idea, but this will make harder to start in the game...

well, Jerzy, i have big hopes 'n expectations about this game, 'cause watching you in hattrick and hottrick gives me the impression that you are a great player and great mind ;)
but reading the blog also gives me worries. and when i saw your training model, one question immediately crossed my mind - a question that i want to ask you now - did you, or any other dev, ever play freekick.org?

I think that this training system looks promising, but only if there are some penalties if you train players mainly in 1 skill! Something like-the more skillful is one player in some skill-the less training he gets in that particular skill.
